When you tap “Analyze” on a listing in Spottable, our AI goes to work. Within seconds, you get a comprehensive breakdown of whether that deal is worth your time. Here’s what happens behind the scenes.
The Deal Score
Every analysis starts with a deal score from 1 to 10. This single number tells you at a glance how good the deal is:
- 8-10: Excellent deal, significantly below market value
- 6-7: Good deal, priced competitively
- 4-5: Fair price, nothing special
- 1-3: Overpriced or something’s off
But the score is just the summary. The real value is in the details.
What the AI Evaluates
Price vs. Market Value
The core question: is this actually a good price? Our AI compares the listing against similar items that have sold recently, adjusting for:
- Condition and age
- Included accessories
- Your local market (prices vary by region)
You’ll see the typical price range and where this listing falls within it.
Condition Assessment
Photos tell a lot. The AI examines listing images to assess visible wear, damage, or missing parts. You get a separate condition score and specific notes about what it found.
Red Flags
This is where the AI earns its keep. It automatically checks for:
- Scam indicators: Stock photos, copied descriptions, prices that don’t make sense
- Authenticity concerns: Signs of counterfeits, especially for electronics and luxury items
- Hidden issues: Vague language that might be hiding problems
Each red flag comes with a severity level (low, medium, high) so you know what to worry about.
Ready-to-Send Messages
Once you know a deal is worth pursuing, you need to message the seller. The AI generates three options:
- Lowball offer: A reasonable starting point for negotiation
- Fair offer: Closer to asking price, for competitive items
- Validation question: Something to verify condition or authenticity
Tap to copy, paste into Messenger, done.
The Bottom Line
The AI handles the research you’d otherwise do manually: checking prices, scrutinizing photos, reading between the lines. You just decide whether to message.
Each analysis costs one AI credit. Pro subscribers get 25 per month, and you can always buy more if you’re analyzing a lot of listings.
